Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal
The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to St. Catherine Labouré in Paris in 1830. She stood on a globe with her arms out and told St. Catherine to have a medal made with her image on it. Mary promised graces for all who would wear the medal. After some difficulties, the medals were created and people began to wear them. Many people began to report miracles and healings after wearing the medals. They became so popular they were called Miraculous Medals. Catholics all around the world continue to wear the Miraculous Medal, trusting in the help of Mary!
